 Polaris Expeditionary Learning School

Scholarships

We realize that the cost of adventure trips at Polaris are more than some families are able to afford. We also believe that adventure trips provide a valuable hands-on learning experience for students.

Polaris has a limited amount of funding for adventure assistance this year. The amount available to us comes from fund-raising efforts, and donations from individuals. Unfortunately, we will not be able to meet every request which comes in.

Therefore, we ask parents to help out with adventure costs by doing one of the following:

(1) Pay a portion of the adventure cost upfront (whatever your family can afford at the time) and then request the Adventure Scholarship to cover the remainder.

(2) Divide the total amount into smaller amounts, making several payments until the full  amount is paid.

(3) Request that the full amount be paid (typically available only one time per year per child, depending on funding) as it is impossible for your family to pay anything at all.

We appreciate your understanding and will continue to work hard to increase the amount available for scholarships. Help with fund-raising efforts is always appreciated.

All requests are kept confidential with school and/or office personnel. Please contact Joe Gawronski, joeg@psdschools.org if you have further questions.
